Irish duo ELKIN return with new dark-pop anthem, “Bodies”.
Fast-rising alt duo ELKIN have just dropped their new single “Bodies” and its B-side “Ghostin”. Comprised of songwriters, Ellen and Carla, the pair first started singing together in their teens before they eventually formed a project under the name, ELKIN. Having only released a slew of singles since their inception in 2017, “Bodies” is an infectious ear-worm with captivating vocals and slick production, Thematically, it’s a powerful pop tune that tackles club culture and the concept of touch. 1883 Magazine is exclusively premiering the visuals for “Bodies” below.
The accompanying music video for “Bodies” is eerie and mysterious thanks to its animated style and how the video focuses on a haunted house. Speaking about the music video, the duo said: “We were really excited to work with our good friend Keith Kavanagh aka @johnnycigarettex on this project. Kav had the idea of a haunted house, where ELKIN watch over from a possessed Victorian painting, plotting revenge on all the men who dare cross us. It takes the empowerment of Bodies into a world of camp horror, and we’re so here for it. Happy Halloween girlies!”
